The aged traction batteries, for example, “plug-in hybrid vehicles”, which are no longer suitable for mobile operation in the vehicle, still have sufficient residual capacity and energy density and can therefore be used for stationary applications. After this “second life” the traction batteries will be fed into the recycling process.
