Hydrogen is promising alternative to battery storage in terms of decarbonized mobility. It impresses with its flexible application options and unique sustainability. While the storage volume of battery storage is limited by its geometry, hydrogen plays its strengths right there. Hydrogen storage can be dimensioned in a simple manner almost arbitrarily large. Through further processing, it can even be fed into the natural gas grid – a reservoir covering Germany completely – to serve as an energy source when needed.
